PART TIME VETERINARY INSURANCE ADMINISTRATOR

We have big ambitions about what we do and where we are going! Do you want to join us for the journey too? We are seeking a part-time Veterinary Insurance Administrator with an ability to WOW!!

 

Our new team member will be someone who:

 

  • Has exceptional customer service skills and knows how to exceed client expectations
  • Understands the priniciples of veterinary insurance and can deal with direct and client made claim submissions via provider online systems
  • Has experience of veterinary administration and it would be useful to have basic clinical knowledge
  • Will work closely with our Insurance Co-ordinator and Accounts Administrators
  • Knows their way around computers (Office and Practice Management Software) plus
  • Can liaise with insurers, clients and vets to sort queries regarding insurance
  • Won’t shy away from discussing financial implications and follow up debt management measures
  • Can communicate in a natural friendly manner with clarity and compassion
  • Has first class telephone manner and is willing to assist with team training sessions
  • Loves dealing with bonded clients with gold standard customer care every time
  • Can carry out precise administrative tasks and has a proactive solution finding attitude
  • Has complaint resolution experience
  • Has a flexible approach and is happy to muck in with other administrative tasks
  • Loves to be busy in an environment where no two days are the same
  • Can ensure the GDPR compliancy of insurance records and associated information
  • Enjoys being part of a caring team inside and outside of work and who understands why we say we fully fund Cake (or fruit or ice cream or coffee) as part of our wellbeing structure
  • Is eager to undertake additional training to gain knowledge about our Pet Health Club
  • Will hit the ground raring to go
  • Would jump at the chance of a fulfilling a role in a well-equipped, modern, forward-thinking Practice (as seen on CBBC’s The Pets Factor) which has the aim of being the Vets of choice for clients, pets and staff.

 

This new role is for 27.5 hours per week (details to be confirmed) and is based in the Admin Offices located above the Yatton Practice. Salary is dependent on sparkle factor and is based on a tried and tested pay scale. Our team has grown massively over recent years and by August 2021 there will be 13 Vets, 19 members of our Nursing and clinical support team plus 17 Admin Staff who work across our three North Somerset Practices situated in Portishead, Nailsea and Yatton (all 20-30 minutes south of Bristol).

FULL TIME VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST - YATTON

When asked why you have worked in a Vets, do you answer because you love working with people? Yes, we know it probably has something to do with animals too, but all of our patients tend to arrive with their humans, so we want our team members to love dealing with our clients and be part of our exceptional and sometimes quirky “family”!

 

Independent and locally owned, Watkins & Tasker Veterinary Group are seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Receptionist with an ability to WOW!! Our new team member will be someone who:

 

  • Has evidenced clinical knowledge (this will be tested at interview) and experience of veterinary receptionist role
  • Must understand how to triage calls and emergencies
  • Can communicate in a natural friendly manner with clarity and compassion
  • Has first class telephone manner and advanced customer service skills
  • Loves dealing with bonded clients and can wow new clients with gold standard customer care every time
  • Can carry out precise administrative tasks such as banking, payment handling and data entry
  • Has complaint resolution experience
  • Has a flexible approach and high level of computer skills
  • Loves to be busy in an environment where no two days are the same
  • Is happy to muck in – we have high hygiene standards in our practices!
  • Has a proactive solution finding attitude

Our team has grown massively over recent years (this role is due to expansion) and there are 12 Vets, 18 members of our Nursing team and 13 Support Staff who work across our three North Somerset practices in Portishead, Nailsea and Yatton (all 20-30 minutes south of Bristol).

 

The role is full-time based at the Yatton Practice and includes evening and weekend work (fairly split with existing team). Salary is dependent on sparkle factor and is based on a tried and tested pay scale. We also welcome work experience and placement opportunities for students who are interested in pursuing veterinary care as a career. These limited opportunities are extremely popular so to ensure success we ask for students to submit a CV and cover letter to the appropriate practice detailing why they would like to undertake a placement with us. Some placements will only be awarded following an interview.
