Carol

Registered Veterinary Nurse & Head Nurse at Nailsea

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse who joined the team in 2006 and I have been the Head Nurse at our Nailsea Practice since September 2011.  I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing but have a special interest in helping our more nervous patients overcome their fears with socialisation clinics and by running our Puppy Academy at Nailsea.  When I am not working as a nurse helping to care for your pets, I spend most of my free time competing at agility with my five Border Collies.

Claire

Registered Veterinary Nurse & Head Nurse at Portishead

I am Head Nurse at our Portishead branch. I joined the practice in 2005 whilst finishing my degree in Veterinary Nursing and have been here since then. I first worked with Liz in 1998 when she took me on for a school work experience week. Something must have inspired me as after moving to London for 4 years to complete my degree, I returned to Yatton to work as a new graduate Veterinary Nurse. Although the practice has grown massively since I first started I love that we have kept the friendly, local family practice atmosphere that makes staff, clients and pets feel at home. I now manage the team at our Portishead branch which includes keeping staff and pets happy and ensuring the smooth running of the Practice and Out of Hours premises. At home, I have two young boys that keep me busy and three cats Kevin, Pig and Doris that keep me equally busy with their adventures.

Zoe

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I started full time employment with Watkins and Tasker Vets in 2008 after a year of work experience at the Nailsea Practice and I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but have a particular interest in diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasound) for which I have a Merit Award. I also hold a Certificate in Canine and Feline Veterinary Care Nutrition meaning I can help your pets with their dietary requirements and improving their health.  I have three pets of my own; Bertie (a rescue terrier cross), Milo (black and white moggy) and Ludo (Border Collie). In my spare time, my animals keep me busy, I compete in Flyball with my in-laws' Labrador, Archie and I am currently training Ludo in both flyball and agility in the hope that one day she will become my very own superstar.

In the same year I graduated from the University of Bristol after gaining a Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science degree. My favourite part of the job is giving our inpatients that extra bit of TLC to help them on their way to recovery. I like to spend my spare time playing squash and taking my dog Bella for long walks.

I love all animals but have a soft spot for cats and have two, Lily and Molly, back at my family home. In my spare time I enjoy (attempting!) to bake and going to gigs.
