Holly Charlton BSc - Practice Manager

I am the Practice Manager for all three of our branches. I qualified as an Event Manager from Portsmouth University in 2005 with First Class Honours and after a variety of other jobs worked for the British Small Animal Veterinary Association organising the exhibition at the annual BSAVA Congress which many of the team have attended over the years. I bring a variety of skills, lots of enthusiasm and an extensive background knowledge of the veterinary industry to the role of Practice Manager.

I work alongside the team to ensure we enhance the quality of your pet’s life. In my spare time, and around any major rugby matches, my partner and I are converting a Welsh Chapel into a home for us and our Red Point Siamese cat, Arnie, who is seen regularly on our Facebook page.

Penny - Clinical Administrator

Although a fully trained Veterinary Nurse, I spend most of my time as the  Administrator for all pet insurance claims and our Pet Health Club. I enjoy showing our clients ways to save money and time with our brilliant Health Plans.

Outside of work, my pony Owen takes almost all my spare time and I enjoy going on fun-rides all over the South West with friends or just riding in my local woods.

Judi - Reception Manager

I have been a client of Watkins and Tasker since 2001 and joined the Reception team in January 2018. I have previously worked in administration for over 20 years and have brought lots of skills to my role as Reception Manager. I work at the Portishead and Yatton branches and love meeting the clients and their lovely pets. I have been known to try various sports including parachuting, horse archery and scuba. I married Nick in 1999, during an underwater ceremony. We share our time with our three ginger cats Paddy, Copper and Sam, our two dogs, Duke and Topsy, and our gorgeous spotty horse Dustin.

Kat - Receptionist

I joined the team in October 2016 and spent my first six months at the Portishead Practice but I am now based at our Nailsea site.  Taking on the role of Veterinary Receptionist was a bit of a career change, as I worked in Pensions for eleven years previously.  I love working with animals and especially enjoy all the cuddles with the lovely pets who visit.  I enjoy being able to meet our clients and tend to their needs. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time going for long walks through the countryside with my Lurcher, Kacie. I also have two cats, Bella and Simba.  I also love spending time my with family and friends and keeping fit.

Lily - Receptionist

I have worked as a Receptionist since 2015, welcoming clients and their pets to the Yatton and Portishead branches. I achieved a triple distinction star (D*D*D*) on a course called; Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. I am more than happy to help clients in any way I can including offering support when it comes to saying farewell to a beloved pet. In my spare time I love walking on the beaches in Cornwall.

My hobbies involve; playing the clarinet, swimming and the occasional horse riding session with my friends. I enjoy spending time with my two pets - my cat, Jazz, and my Chihuahua, Bertie.

Amie - Receptionist

I have worked as Veterinary Receptionist for Watkins and Tasker Vets since July 2017. Prior to this role I worked in insurance and I very much enjoyed the customer focused aspect of the job. I am looking forward to working with a new team, having the chance to build on my customer experience and help to ensure our clients and patients have excellent service.

Outside of work, I am a mum to two beautiful young daughters, who keep me on my toes. I love to spend time with my friends and I have a keen interest in exercise, including weight training and cycling. I hope to do my first Triathlon during 2018.

Leigh - Practice Administrator

I have worked at the Practice behind the scenes since 2000, trying to keep the finances in order but occasionally I do escape to Reception to have a chat with the clients.  Outside of work, I keep myself busy with my two dogs: Rosie, my sensitive English Pointer and Alfie, my scruffy terrier.

I also hate having my picture taken so Bert is modelling for me instead!

Michelle - Accounts Administrator

I have worked for Watkins and Tasker Veterinary Group since December 2017.  I job share with my colleague Leigh, dealing with the accounts and finances.  I have always worked in accounts and joined here after having my two children.  I also have a tortoiseshell cat called Jessie who loves attention, especially from the children. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, baking cakes and socialising with my family and friends.

Claire - Receptionist

I have been working at Watkins and Tasker since 2012. I have always had a passion for animals, and find working with the patients and owners is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had.

In my spare time I enjoy horse riding, walking my dog and spending time with my family.

Trudi - Receptionist

Having been a client of Watkins and Tasker since 2009, I felt very lucky to join the team in the role of receptionist at the Nailsea practice in August 2015. Previously working in retail and administration, I am now enjoying learning about life in a veterinary practice and meeting the clients and patients alike! Outside of work I love photography, walking, cycling, pottering in the garden and looking after our six year old cat, Twiglet.

Rebecca (Bex) - Receptionist

Since July 2017, I have worked as Veterinary Receptionist for Watkins and Tasker Vets. I worked with animals for a few years and after a short break I am looking forward to assisting our clients and their gorgeous pets. Outside of work, I enjoy fitness and challenge myself with competitions such as Tough Mudder. Sadly, I do not currently have any pets of my own after losing my beautiful dogs Sassy and Bruno, so I volunteer at a local animal sanctuary and take every opportunity to walk or pet sit for friends and families.

Ashleigh - Receptionist

Since June 2018, I have worked as a Veterinary Receptionist for Watkins and Tasker Vets in both the Yatton and Portishead Branches. I worked within the veterinary field for a few years before graduating with a degree in Medical Sciences from Bangor University in North Wales. I am looking forward to meeting all the lovely clients and their pets!

I am hoping to follow my childhood dream and gain a place on the Graduate Veterinary Medicine course at Bristol University in September 2019.  Outside of work, I enjoy walking with my 13-year old Golden Retriever, trips to Gorran Haven in Cornwall and horse riding.
