I am the Practice Manager for all three of our branches. I qualified as an Event Manager from Portsmouth University in 2005 with First Class Honours and after a variety of other jobs worked for the British Small Animal Veterinary Association organising the exhibition at the annual BSAVA Congress which many of the team have attended over the years. I bring a variety of skills, lots of enthusiasm and an extensive background knowledge of the veterinary industry to the role of Practice Manager.
Although a fully trained Veterinary Nurse, I spend most of my time as the Administrator for all pet insurance claims and our Pet Health Club. I enjoy showing our clients ways to save money and time with our brilliant Health Plans.
I have worked as a Receptionist since 2015, welcoming clients and their pets to the Yatton and Portishead branches. I achieved a triple distinction star (D*D*D*) on a course called; Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. I am more than happy to help clients in any way I can including offering support when it comes to saying farewell to a beloved pet. In my spare time I love walking on the beaches in Cornwall.
I have worked at the Practice behind the scenes since 2000, trying to keep the finances in order but occasionally I do escape to Reception to have a chat with the clients. Outside of work, I keep myself busy with my two dogs: Rosie, my sensitive English Pointer and Alfie, my scruffy terrier.
I have been working at Watkins and Tasker since 2012. I have always had a passion for animals, and find working with the patients and owners is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had.
